Byron Gerald Peters' Obituary
Byron Gerald Peters, 39, died May 31, 2014 at Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne, after losing the battle to kidney & liver disease. Born in Radford, VA, he graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1993 and attended Vicennes University. He was previously employed by Ft. Wayne Newspapers and was the owner and operator of the 412 Club. Byron loved children and coached several years at St. Joe Little League and later served as president. He was an avid sports enthusiast. Byron had a unique sense of humor, loved to make people laugh, and was quite the prankster. To know him was to love him! Byron is survived by his children, Tyler Garrett Peters, 16 and Katie Marie Peters, 8 years old of Ft. Wayne; mother, R. Joy (David) Sprague of New Haven; siblings, Winona Gooding of New Haven, David (Jennifer) Sprague of Ft. Wayne, John (Bonnie) Sprague of Monroeville and Sara (Dennis) Freeman of Ft. Wayne; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Ryan, Grant, Ben, Ellie Jo, Maddie Jayne, Kierston, Jessica and Kaylee. Byron is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his father Gerald Peters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Russ Able officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Tyler and Katie's Education Fund.
