Bobbie Ruth Lester Miller's Obituary
Bobbie Ruth Lester Miller, 89, of New Haven, got "her green light to heaven" on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17, 2023, at The Cedars, Leo. Born in Harrogate, TN, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Muncy) Lester and was a proud graduate of Powell High School. She married Joseph Zea Miller on August 12, 1967. He preceded her in death in 2004. They resided in Ohio later moving to Indiana. Traveling the United States and the world, they visited many exciting places. In their retirement years they wintered in Florida and enjoyed their New Haven property in the summer. During her career she worked for Dayton Power and Light, Do It Best, and Crumback Chevrolet. She was a member of Eastern Star 570, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, canning, and her cherished collectibles. Bringing her the most joy was finding a Scott letter in her mailbox that she would read over and over again. They came frequently and were filled with colorful California pictures.
