Beverly J. Hoeppner's Obituary
Beverly J. Hoeppner, 74, of New Haven, died suddenly on Friday, February 12, 2016 while vacationing in Fort Myers Beach, FL. Born on the family farm in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Luella (Scheuman) Oehler. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek, New Haven. Retiring in 2002 as an RN from Lutheran Hospital after 26 years of service and Ophthalmology Consultants in 2011 after 15 years of service, she enjoyed her later years volunteering, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress, avid gardener and made the best pies. Memberships included: Better Halves Home Economics Club (50+ years), St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid (Treasurer), St. Paul Lutheran Church Council (Secretary), St. Paul Lutheran Church Quilting and Co-Director of Next To New at Lutheran Life Villages.
She is survived by children, Lisa (Don) Finch of Indianapolis and Ron (Amy) Hoeppner, Jr. of Greenfield; son-in-law, Blaine Guenin of Greenfield; grandchildren, Amanda and Connor Finch, Vivian, Grant, Wilson, and Laurel Hoeppner, and Gage and Clay Guenin; great grandson, Eli Finch; siblings, Bonnie (Fred) Schlegel of Angola; Barb (Larry) Schlegel of Ft. Wayne; Betty (Todd) Bearman of Ft. Wayne; Stan (Carolyn) Oehler of Ft. Wayne and Steve Oehler of Hoagland. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, Sr. in 2012 and daughter, Jill Guenin in 2011.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek, 1910 N. Berthaud Rd., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Michael Blodgett officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek or Central Lutheran School.
