Betty J. Sauders' Obituary
Betty J. Sauders, 84, of New Haven, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Auburn she was the daughter of the late Jay and Nina (nee. Collins) Sowles. She attended Word of Liberty Church, New Haven and was a longtime member of the Sweet Adelines Fort Wayne Chapter. She had been the owner and operator of Betty Jane's Beauty Shop since 1947.
She is survived by her sons, Rex A. and David C. (Denise) Sauders both of New Haven; grandchildren, Timothy, Vanessa, Amanda, Jared, and Daniel; three brothers; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Everett Sauders in May of 2011; and three brothers.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Lee Miller officiating. Calling 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Fort Wayne Chapter of Sweet Adelines.
