Betsy E Brotherton's Obituary
Betsy E. Brotherton, 79, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Delphos, OH she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Judkins) Estill. She was a teacher with Antwerp local schools for 37 years and retired in 1996. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven, where she was a member of the U.M.W., Prayer Shawl Ministry, and the Chancel Choir. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William A. Brotherton; children, Jon (Rhianna) Brotherton of Fort Wayne, Timothy Brotherton of Reed City, MI, and Sara (Brant) Harmon of Whitestown; sister, Sue Linton of Van Wert; grandchildren, Sara Lynn Hall, Avery, Delynn and Lydia Harmon; Great-granddaughter, Layla Hall.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to the NHUM Church Prayer Shawl Ministry.
