Bernice C. Peck's Obituary
Bernice C. Peck, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Park Place Senior Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Herman and Martha Doehrman. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne and volunteered at Lutheran Hospital. She retired in 1983 from Sears Credit Department after 18 years. Bernice loved bowling, playing cards, and ceramics.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane West of New Haven and Kyle (Tom) Spencer of Auburn; brothers, Vern Doehrman and Will Doehrman both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kara (Kevin) Stumpf and Jamie (Treg) Freeman both of Fort Wayne, Alec (Heather) Spencer of Edwards, CA, and Wes (Heidi) Spencer of Rockford, MI; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Neil, Miranda, Taylor, Logan, Ethan, Kyli, Gage, Myah, and Penny. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen in 1982; and sister, Dolores Bates.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Marys Ave., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastor Russell Dewell officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Monroeville. Preferred memorials are Worship for Shut-ins, Trinity Lutheran Church, or Heartland Hospice.
