I am saddened to have finally noticed this. Barb made sure my brother and I made it safely across 930 everyday. Twice a day. We grew up in what is now the New Haven Food bank. She was always chewing gum and knew how to make being a crossing guard look good. She always was in a good mood and brightened my day as a kid. The way she threw that stop sign up in the air as she crossed such a busy strip exudes confidence. Sad too see such a beautiful person go so soon. Love you Barb, (the crossing guard), you are missed, but very fondly remembered. Keep those streets of gold safe, and look good doing it.
