Barbara L. Burchardt's Obituary
Barbara L. Burchardt, 72, of New Haven, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Delores (nee. Meyers) Buesching. She was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and served as Ladies Aid treasurer for over 30 years. Barb thoroughly enjoyed her 35 years with Goeglein's Catering, retiring in 2005.
Barb is survived by her sons, Thomas A. (Rita) Burchardt, Steven J. Burchardt, Michael S. (Tami) Burchardt all of New Haven; sisters, Carol (John) Schumacher of Yoder and Rita (Keith) Bohnke of Monroeville; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Paul) Korte of Woodburn; grandchildren: Angela I. (David) Sicks, Bradley T. Burchardt, and Zachery M. Burchardt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ronald "Ronnie" Burchardt in 2007.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling also 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
