Anne A. Szajna's Obituary
Anne A. Szajna, 72, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Dagus Mines, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oristo and Martha (Sidelinger) Palazzi. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She retired from Owens Brockway Glass Container in Lapel. She had also worked for John Morrell Food Group – Eckrich and Marsh Supermarkets.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter; children, Wally (Laurie) Szajna and Michael Szajna both of Woodburn and Lisa (Guy) Woodward of Leo; sisters, Joanne Norrick of New Kensington, PA, and Alice Cornwell, Sheri Palazzi, and Carla Palazzi all of Lower Burrell, PA; 13 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Colclaser, Jerry, and Carl Palazzi.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one half hour prior to service. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 3:30 p.m.. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
