Anna M Childress' Obituary
Anna M. Childress, 90, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Born in Greeneville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Becky (Lewis) Olinger. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. She retired from Kwik – Lok, after 10 years of service. Anna loved gardening, canning, and especially her family. She is survived by her children, Charles W. Childress of Clermont, FL, Gary M. Childress of New Haven, Wanda McVeigh of White Plains, MD, and Donna Ward of Bryantown, MD; sisters, Ruth Stratton of New Haven, and Alma Jaynes of Limestone, TN; grandchildren, Nick Childress, Amy VanMeter, and 8 others; 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Millard Childress in 2009; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F.
