Anita Wiese's Obituary
Anita Wiese, 94, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Woodview Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hannah (Ewell) Stoppenhagen. She was a member of Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven. She was a waitress at Don Hall’s for 20 years, a cook at Central Lutheran Schools for 8 years and had also worked at Fort Wayne Wire Die. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and bowling but more than anything, she loved to spend time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Janice (Steve) Hoyt of Fort Wayne, Jeri (Bill) Wiegand of New Haven, and Thomas (Jan) Wiese of Kent, WA; 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond in 1998; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Rd., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Jim Teasdale officiating. Visitation is also Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 East, New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to the church.
