Andrew Jay Lomont's Obituary
Andrew Jay Lomont, 37, of Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Thomas and Victoria (Johnson) Lomont, who survive. He has been employed with Wayne Steel Supply for over three years. He was a hardworking skilled welder who took pride in his work. He loved fixing things and creative projects. Andrew enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, singing, karaoke, and loved rock and roll. He also loved animals, especially his dog, JJ.
He is also survived by his sisters, Claire Schmitz and Josette (James) Spuller; nephew, Matthew Schmitz; grandfather, William Johnson; aunts, Julie (Maurice) Lothamer, Phyllis Love, and Mary Till; uncles, Donald Lomont and Ronald (Linda) Lomont; and many beloved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Virginia "Toni" Lomont and Barbara Johnson.
Funeral service is 2:30 pm Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 8 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials to the family in c/o Tom Lomont or Humane Fort Wayne.
