Alyssa Noelle Johnson's Obituary
Alyssa Noelle Johnson, 16, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Brian and Meredith (Van Ess) Johnson, who survive. She was a student at East Allen University and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Harlan. She played softball and twirled baton. She also enjoyed theater, reading, camping, playing video games, swimming, making snowmen and catching fireflies. Most of all she loved her cat, Nelson. She is also survived by sisters, Mari Joy (Justin) Whelchel of Fort Wayne, Melyssa Seip of Woodburn, and Aria Johnson of Grabill; grandparents, Gilbert and Beverly Johnson of Grabill; and nephew, Andrew Easterday of Woodburn. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zoe Whitefeather and David Van Ess. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
