Alma I Gevers' Obituary
Alma I. Gevers, 97, passed away on June 4, 2022, at her residence. Born in Allen County, IN. she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Girardot) Kline. She was a long-time member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Alma enjoyed genealogy, gardening, reading, knitting, and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her family on the family farm. She is survived by her sons, David (Theresa) Gevers, William (Zeping) Gevers, Michael (Kathy) Gevers, and Matthew (Dorothy) Gevers; brother, Maurice (Mary) Kline; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert J. Gevers; twelve brothers and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 US-27, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E, New Haven.
