Alice M. Sommers' Obituary
Alice M. Sommers, 98, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Born in Deshler, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Bertha (Wunderlin) Pearsall. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Soest), Fort Wayne since 1945. A farm wife for 50 years, she also sold Avon products for 20 years, where she was a team leader. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, entertaining and crafts. She is survived her sons, William (Vianna) and Michael (Marilyn) Sommers both of Fort Wayne; son-in-law, Ronald Smith of Angola; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Smith on the same day; husband of 55 years, Ralph Sommers in 2001; brother, C. Robert Pearsall; and sister-in-law, Eileen Porter. Private services. Burial in Emmanuel Lutheran (Soest) Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Soest) Endowment Fund.
