Alice E Pyle's Obituary
Alice E Pyle, 89, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born May 8, 1934, in Adams County to the late William and Bernice (Kuhn) Brunner. On September 19, 1952, she married the love of her life, James Pyle who survives. She retired from Starcraft, Topeka, Indiana where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Colony Heights Church of Christ, Fort Wayne. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, baking, the Cubs, and NASCAR. She especially enjoyed spending time at the lake. During the winter months Alice and James could be found in Bradenton, Fl.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James Pyle; children, Fred (Nita) Pyle, and Brenda (Gayle) Shaffer; sister, Pauline Brunner; grandchildren, Lindsey Werling, Brian (Molly) Shaffer, and Nick (Laura) Shaffer; 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Melvin Brunner, Harold Brunner, Paul Brunner, and Bernadine Ross; grandson, Erik Pyle in November 2022. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery, Geneva. Preferred memorials are to Stillwater Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
