Alice Taylor Lloyd's Obituary
Alice P. (Taylor) Lloyd, 93, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Ashton Creek Rehab Hospital. She was born in Jefferson County, Indiana on February 24, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Irvin and Mattie B. (Weaver) Taylor. Alice was a member of the Paynesville Christian Church, and was employed at Commonwealth Insurance Company, Louisville, KY for 14 years and Lincoln National Life Insurance for 25 ½ years, Fort Wayne. Alice loved to participate in bowling and was a member of several leagues in New Haven and Fort Wayne. She enjoyed horses, embroidering, and reading. Her favorite teams were the Leo Lions, New Haven Bulldogs, Southwestern Rebels, Indiana Hoosiers, and the Cincinnati Reds. She is survived by her sister Juanita (Taylor) Hardy, and is loved and cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bud" Lloyd; siblings, Doris Taylor, Frank Taylor, Hugh Taylor, and Bud Taylor. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2014 at Grayson Funeral Home, 278 Main St., Hanover, IN. Visitations are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home with Rev. Jake McGee officiating. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lexington. Preferred memorials are to Mt. Zion Cemetery, 7345 S. Taylor Rd., Lexington, IN 47138.
