Albert Lewis Curtis' Obituary
Albert Lewis Curtis, 99, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Livermore, Calif., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at The Waters, Fort Wayne. Born in Parker City, he was the son of the late Ezra and Flossie (McSherry) Curtis. He was an active member of Southern Baptist Church, Pioneer, Calif. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. He retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif. after 29 years. He also enjoyed building his cabin in the mountains, deer hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Eric (Kay) Curtis, Monica (Milt) Lengacher, Krista (Mike) Miller, Sheila Watkins; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three nieces; and five nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wives Dorothy of 12 years in 2016, Audrey of 38 years in 2003; and K. Gisela of 11 years in 1995; siblings, Juanita Gray, Loretta Thomas, Florence Smith, Bernice Buskirk, and John Curtis; and niece Annajane Whiteman.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 E. St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation two hours prior (11-1pm).
