    Sue Ann Byrd

    August 21, 1956 - June 20, 2022

    Sue Ann Byrd, 65, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Jean (Trammel) Hilgemann. She was a member of both New Haven United Methodist Church and Emanuel Lutheran Church. She worked as the Director of Congregational Care at NHUMC and was also in administration at the New Haven Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, gardening, travel, especially to St. Pete Beach in Florida, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert; daughters, Jaime (Rob Cochran) Byrd and Jessica (James) Gresham both of New Haven; sister, Kamen (Ken) Schaefer; and grandchildren, Morgan, Aidan, Evelyn, Gavin, and Fynnley. She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at the church. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are New Haven United Methodist Church or Emanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
