    Patricia A. Lomont

    June 2, 1942 - August 19, 2015

    Patricia “Pat” A. Lomont, 73, passed away Wednesday. August 19, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Caroline (O’Dell) Harmeyer. The 1960 graduate of South Side High School, went on to attend Ravenscroft Beauty College. She was a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years, and recently a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church. Pat was an avid slow pitch softball player for 41 years. Her team beat a #2 nationally ranked team, not once but twice, during a tournament. She also enjoyed volleyball, bowling, and euchre. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother her family was her number one passion. She cherished lake time with her family and friends. Pat loved Christmas time, from making cookies to changing her house into a Christmas wonderland for everyone to enjoy. She put her heart and soul into making others happy. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard; children, Jeff Lomont of Atlanta, GA, Michelle (David) Lutz of Fort Wayne, and Melissa (Les) Dillman of Carmel; siblings, Linda (Tim) Adam and Michael (Sally) Harmeyer both of Fort Wayne, and Diane (Phil) Waltz of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, David, Erika, Matthew, Hannah, and Sarah Lutz, Lauren Dillman, Justin and Grace Lomont; and great grandson, Daxton Lomont. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Harmeyer; and grandson, Jake Lomont. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m Monday at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling 1 hour prior Fr. Ben Muhlenkamp officiating. Calling is also 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 SR 930 E., New Haven with vigil at 5 p.m. Burial in church cemetery.
