Lloyd D. Urbine, 99, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Towne House Retirement Center, Fort Wayne. Born on August 5, 1917 in Monroeville, he was the son of the late Oscar and Sophia (Martin) Urbine. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and the Holy Name Society. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp and went on to serve in the Air National Guard. He was also a member of the Reserve Officers Association. He retired in 1978 from International Harvester after 43 years. He is survived by his children, Gregory Urbine of New Haven, Stan (Paula) Urbine, Steven (Carolyn) Urbine and Anne Armstrong all of Fort Wayne, and Terry (Kelly) Urbine of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary in 1988; and siblings, Mildred Gerardot, Theresa Martin, and Mary Green. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with vigil at 7:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Masses or the church.
