Betty Ruth Turner

Betty R. Turner, 88, departed this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne. Her family transferred to New Haven, IN in 1961 with the startup of the BF Goodrich plant in Woodburn, IN. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of New Haven, IN and was baptized and confirmed in the faith at St Paul Lutheran Church in Fairland, OK. Before moving to New Haven, she was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Miami, OK. She was active in the Christian Welfare and Mission Circle at Emanuel for many years. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Ron) Wooldridge of Columbia City; son, Chuck (Camilla) Turner of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kristin (Pete) Bonner, Chris (Angie) Turner, Holly (Todd) Coulter, Keri (Jason) Lantz, Jason (Pamela) Turner, Jeff (Kelly) Turner, and Ryan (Jeni) Wooldridge; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jared Turner, Zach & Josh Rutland, Lily and Talan Turner, Bronwyn, Hudson, Windsor Bonner and Lincoln and Veronica Lantz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Johannah Partain of Miami, OK; husband of 62 years, Charlie Turner in 2008; son, Dale Turner in 2006; sister, Thelma Callaway of Joplin, MO; and brother, Louis Partain of Seneca, MO. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Scott Zeckzer officiating. Burial in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Betty to Central Lutheran School Legacy Fund, New Haven, IN or Heartland Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
