    Robert Lee Charlesworth

    July 20, 1939 - February 21, 2022

    Robert "Bob" Lee Charlesworth, 82, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, after a five-year battle with cancer at home with his family by his side. Born in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Arthur and Fern (Berry) Charlesworth. He served his country as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 47, Fort Wayne. He had a Bachelor of Science degree Purdue University and a master's degree from Oklahoma in business. He worked most of his life in sales and management and was the past owner of Warren Electric in Lima, Ohio. He was a member of St. Joe United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. He enjoyed cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays and Purdue basketball. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake. "Bob, rest in the hands of God until we meet again." He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara; his loyal and faithful service dog, Oliver; daughters, Heather (Frank) Capristo of Bellingham, WA and Lisa (Kirk) Sells of Corunna; stepsons, Jay (Susan) Frymier and Todd (Becky) Frymier both of Fort Wayne, Chris (Kerry) Frymier of Mt. Pleasant, WI, and Joel (Julie) Frymier of Hilliard, OH; sister, Barbara (Garold) Westbrook of Lancaster, MA; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Charlesworth; and brother, Art Charlesworth. Private services at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the Elara Caring Hospice. Family would like thank the doctors and staff at the VA Hospitals in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, the nurses and home health personnel of Elara Caring Hospice, and the home health caregivers from True Care.
