Norman Edward McNally, age 72, died at his home in Spencerville, IN, on September 5. Born on November 19, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, he attended West Liberty College before moving to Twinsburg, OH and then to Woodburn, IN. He spent his 50 year career in education serving as a teacher and administrator at Maple Heights, Twinsburg, Antwerp, Fairview, Woodburn Lutheran, Central Lutheran, Holy Cross Lutheran and IPFW. He devoted over 25 years of service to youth baseball and softball with Woodburn Baseball Commission and also served as a dedicated member of the Woodburn Lions Club and the Woodburn United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Carol Masley McNally; children, Douglas McNally, Kerri (Aaron) Willard and Kristi (Jim) Ailes; grandchildren, Alec McNally, Madison Willard, Izzy McNally, Cade Willard, Owen Willard, Masley Ailes and Piper Ailes; and siblings, James McNally, Robert McNally and Susan McNally. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Nell McNally and his brother Donald McNally. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at Woodburn United Methodist Church, 4300 Becker Rd., Woodburn with calling one hour prior. Pastor Terry McDonald officiating. Calling is also 12 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the church.
