Naomi Glisson Detweiler

Naomi B. Glisson-Detweiler, 88, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Golden Years Homestead Nursing Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mattie (Willingham) Caraker. She enjoyed tending to her rose garden, fishing, puzzles, board games, crafts, and caring for her dogs. She especially loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Kathy Marquiss, Denis (Joyce) Glisson, Judy (Earl) Loveday, and Lisa (Michael) Wallace; sister, Mary (Harvey) Derrick; 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Glisson and Paul Detweiler; son-in-law, Jimmie Marquiss in January 2022. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
