Marvin L. Boling, 88, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at River Terrace Estates, Bluffton. Born in Washington County, he was the son of the late James and Essie Boling. The WWII veteran served his country in the US Navy. He retired in 1985 from Phelps Dodge after 34 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary; children, David Boling of Fort Wayne, John "Scott" (Cathy) Boling of New Haven, Robert (Kathy) Boling of Ossian, James "Mike" Boling of Fort Wayne, Julie (James) Franks of Roanoke; siblings, Robert Boling of Charlestown, Howard Boling of Saltillo, Bill Boling of Jeffersonville, Norman Boling of Borden, Marceda Newton of St. Bernice, and Betty Wilson of Salem; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Boling; brothers, Charles and James Boling; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Boling. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Chaplain Karen Kosberg-Anderson officiating. Calling is also 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial is in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Alzheimer's Association.
