    Marilyn Freda Parsons

    May 12, 1931 - June 19, 2016

    Marilyn Freda Parsons, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Howard City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ena (Vogg) Poumade. She attended Fellowship of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Churubusco. She retired in 1995 from Parkview Hospital – Randallia with over 30 years of service and was also a member of Parkview Hospital Ambassadors. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed gardening. She had many collectables include dolls, cook books, spoons, music boxes, and snow globes. She is survived by her children, Kip Parsons and Cheryl McGinnis both of Fort Wayne, Steven Parsons of Waynesboro, TN, and Randall Parsons of Hamilton, OH; sister, Peggy Gross of Cadillac, MI; sister-in-law, Shelvy (Normand) Horn of Bloomington; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren with one on the way. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Parsons in 2002; daughter, Brenda Burks in 2013; and three siblings. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. Preferred memorials are to the National Kidney Foundation.
