    Lois Ann Emenhiser

    September 15, 1931 - April 10, 2017

    Lois Ann Emenhiser, 85, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Lucille (Krick) Rosswurm. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. While most of her years were spent as a homemaker, Lois did spend five years as a school aide for East Allen County Schools and was a certified nursing assistant at Regency Place. Known for her poetry, she also wrote for Neighbors Supplement and was a freelance writer for the Allen County Times. Among the many things that brought her happiness, her flower garden was one of her favorites. She is survived by her children, Douglas Emenhiser of Topeka, Gregory (Sandy) Emenhiser of Monroeville, Jean Eisaman of Woodburn, Sandra Sell and Nicholas (Linda) Emenhiser both of New Haven, Kathryn “Kitty” (Larry) Richards of Columbia City, Jennifer Guertin of Noblesville, David (Jackie) Emenhiser of Battle Creek, MI, Randall Emenhiser of Arnoldsville, GA, Curtis (Anne) Emenhiser of Freemont, MI, and Matthew (Shari) Emenhiser of Fort Wayne; 39 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and siblings, Dorothy (Jerry) Nichter, Edwin (Shirley), Rosemary, Sister Barbara, and Richard (MaryAnn) Rosswurm, Nancy Hauser, and Linda Love. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Della Emenhiser; one grandson; two great grandchildren; and brother, Stanley Rosswurm. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 7:30 p.m. Burial in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to Allen County Right to Life or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
