John Mark Weber, 43, passed away after a battle with Covid-19 on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Phoenix, AZ he was the son of Donald and Carey Ann (Einem) Weber of Seward, NE. John grew up in Wichita, KS; San Diego, CA; Creston, NE; and Norfolk, NE. He attended the University of Nebraska, Kearney and Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, where he met his wife, Sarah (Masenthin) Weber. John and Sarah served as missionaries to Macau, China before beginning their teaching careers. John taught at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Fort Dodge, IA; Heartland Lutheran High School in Grand Island, NE; St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School in Decatur, IN; Orange Lutheran High School Online; and Central Lutheran School in New Haven, IN, where he later became the current principal. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Gar Creek), New Haven. John loved spending time with his family and watching the kids participate in a variety of sports, in different drama productions, in choir and band concerts. He enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, eating out, going golfing, collecting and organizing his football cards, and of course, watching his Huskers play – either live or one of the old classic games. Besides his family, he loved being a Lutheran school principal. He loved seeing the kids every day and sharing the great message he gave daily about Jesus. He knew his calling was to share Jesus with children and friends. His goal was to build Central into an amazing school with a great new gym and area for the students to be able to gather. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sarah; children, Hannah, Naomi, and Gideon Weber; Parents, Donald and Carey Ann (Einem) Weber of Seward, NE; grandmother, Beatrice Einem of Seward, NE.; sister, Jennifer Weber of Columbus, NE; father and mother in law, Herbert and Gloria Masenthin of Fort Wayne; brother and sister in law, Tim and Kim Masenthin of Cedarburg, WI; nephews, Caleb and Toby Masenthin of Cedarburg, WI; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and every student he taught. In death, John is reunited with his twin children, paternal grandparents Clarence and Norma Weber, his maternal grandfather, Reverend Harold Einem, his uncle Jim Weber, and his aunt Debbie (Einem) Sterioti, along with many friends. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St, New Haven visitation one hour prior and will be streamed at this link below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2qXEa6lQEU .
