Harold Eugene Gordon, 81, passed away, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Louise (Mundy) Gordon. He retired in 1984 from International Harvester after 30 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 2387, Fremont and American Legion, Fort Myers, FL. He was very active in his son’s sports, especially in little league as a coach and followed his boy’s traveling hockey teams. He was also an avid IU and Indianapolis Colts fan. Harold loved the lake, was an avid golfer, could build anything, and was known as an all-around fix it guy. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta “Bobbie” (Freiburger) Gordon; sons, Gary Gordon of New Haven and Rick (Amy) Gordon of Terre Haute; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Gordon in 1984; two brothers; and one sister. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
