    Gladys J. Lanoue

    September 4, 1934 - September 24, 2017

    Gladys J. Lanoue, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Waterloo, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hattie Juderjahn Wurst. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She served her country in the US Air Force and was a member of American Legion #241. She worked in the Medicare claims department for many years. Gladys enjoyed puzzles, games shows, sports, bowling, and golf. She is also survived by her children, Terry (Diane) Lanoue of Memphis, IN and Kathryn (Darrin) Poling of Fort Wayne; brother, Kenneth Wurst, Waterloo, WI; grandchildren, Alan (Kaity) Faulkner, Eric (Vanessa) Faulkner, Benjamin Faulkner, Debra (Joel) El-Farrah, David (Cassie) Lanoue, Angela (Logan) Hurst, and Daniel (Kristen) Lanoue; and 22 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gary; and brother, Robert Wurst. Memorial Mass is 12 p.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling half hour prior to service and military honors to follow mass. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a 3:30 p.m. vigil and 7 p.m. family reflection at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
