    Evelyn Kimmel Koenemann

    January 3, 1923 - May 12, 2018

    Evelyn (Kimmel) Koenemann, 95, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Flossie (Utter) Kimmel. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven and Korean Veterans Association, Fort Wayne. She worked at Morrill Motors, Fort Wayne for eight years and Concordia College in the kitchen. She enjoyed embroidery and quilting but she especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Joyce (Adry, Jr) McConnell and Keith (Kim) Mensing both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Doris Andringa, Betty Ort, Norma Marks, and Ruth (Jack) Mougin all of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Barbara Kimmel of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William, Carl, Konrad, and Edgar; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School and Parkview Hospice.
