Daniel J. Ruff

June 23, 1947 - April 5, 2022

Daniel "Dan" J. Ruff, 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at The Cedars, Leo. Born in Port Huron, MI, he was the son of the late Robert and Eugenia (Olmstead) Ruff. He was raised in the Lutheran church and retired in 1997 from General Electric with over 30 years of service. He loved Ford trucks and muscle cars. He was the father who taught his kids to shoot and drive, which made him the bravest man alive. He had a memory that people were envious of and would drop one liners that always resulted in a laugh. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Jan) Ruff and Theresa (Randy) Prentice; grandchildren, Jenifer (Josh) Grabner and Kelly (John) Hudson; great grandchildren, Lillian and Gracelyn Hudson, Jackson, James, and Josie Grabner; and niece, Valerie (Adam) Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Ruff in 2007. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation two hours prior. Burial in the Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
