Clarence McDaniel

Clarence McDaniel, 88, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Wittenberg Lutheran Village, Crown Point. He was the son of the late Richard and Etta (Gum) McDaniel. Clarence was a member the Faith Baptist Church, Fort Wayne where he was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He proudly served his country for 38 years; 3 years in the Army including the Korean War and 35 years in the Air Force Reserve including the Vietnam War. He also served his country by working for the federal government for 35 years. He retired in 1997 as a Q.A. Specialist in the Department of Defense. He was a past member of the American Legion and the VFW, Masonic Lodge, Brookville and the Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne. Clarence was an all-around handyman who enjoyed tinkering, and landscaping; he was always ready to help those in need with his talents and skills. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Malvery (Callahan) McDaniel; sons, David (Jae Shim) McDaniel and Mark McDaniel.; grandchildren, Eric McDaniel, Sarah (Don) Brown, Logan and Colin McDaniel; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tari Jo McDaniel, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral service is private. Entombment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
