Charles C. Bandelier, I, 90, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in New Haven, Indiana. Born in Jefferson Township, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel (Bolyard) Bandelier. Charles worked for Do It Best (HWI) for almost 20 years. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, V.F.W. #2457, Marine Corp. League, and American Legion Post 330. Charles proudly served his country during WWII with the Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen; children, Sharon M. (Robert) Wiegman of Monroeville, Karon K. Luther of New Haven, Charles C. (Kelly) Bandelier, II of Sharonville, Ohio, and Vincent Bandelier of Naples, FL; siblings, Francis "Ike" Bandelier of Delphos, Ohio, Marlene (Eugene) Springer of New Haven, and Sandra (Carl) Frecker of Woodburn; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold, Jr. and Howard Bandelier, Ida Joan Carmen, and Gracella Bauer. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Kevin DeKoninck officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the church and Parkview Hospice.
