Alvin "Butch" Eugene Busche Sr.

Alvin “Butch” Eugene Busche, Sr., 78, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Alvin and Adelene (Kiser) Busche. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. He served his country in the US Airforce and was a member of American Legion Post 296. He retired from Al Gratz Body Shop and had also worked as a security guard at local area businesses. Butch enjoyed big game hunting and restoring old cars. He is survived by his children, Alvin “Eugene” (Sharon) Busche, Jr. of Hoagland, Christopher (Christina) Busche and Connie (Mike Langston) Williams both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Lynn Busche of Arizona and Arlene Busche Builta of St. Petersburg, FL; companion, Gladys Drummond of New Haven; and her children, Sheryl (Paul) Gick of Fort Wayne and Scott Beaver of New Haven; nine grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother. Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Pastor Todd Buckmaster officiating. Burial in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warrior.
