Dear David, Thank you so very much for planning and delivering a wonderful service for our mother Phyllis Flora. We appreciate you working with us to schedule the Saturday service, even though it was not the ideal timing for the cemetery people. It fit what our family needed with flights and work schedules. Everyone in our family was able to attend the funeral. It was really a beautiful service and mom looked beautiful. We were very pleased, as I think she always thought she would have an open viewing. We were happy to have a traditional service. Again, thanks for being so accommodating to us. You have an excellent business and I will recommend you to others.

David & his team went above and beyond for me and my family when my son passed away 4 months ago unexpectedly. They stepped in and became a part of the family so that Corey would have a proper funeral. The "sales" aspect was not their priority - making sure his family & friends were able to say "goodbye" and get Corey to his final resting place on earth was their priority. They were very understanding, cooperative & helpful when it came to gathering the funds to pay for his funeral & burial costs. I couldn't of gotten through that moment without David & his team. They were knowledgeable, supportive & professional from the first phone call I made to them.

Just every so often, here and there, now and then in life you encounter a human being who presents a complete profile as an authentic person, and Mr. David Rousculp is certainly one who qualifies as being a member in that unforgettable fraternity. Mr. Rousculp possesses three qualities that I have discovered are part of the essentials that make what I have called “The Great American Funeral Director.” First, David loves the funeral service profession, and because of that love he brings a dimension of depth and substance that is visible when you interact with him. A love of funeral service is one of the ingredients of a person’s character that separates the typical funeral director from the Great American Funeral Director. Second, David is good a working with people. He does not judge people, instead he tried to connect with and empower other people, which is a rare human trait in such complicated cultural times. Because of his interest in people, David has developed a keen sense creativity in his approach to the very important roles of the funeral professional as being the caretaker of the dead, and the caregiver to the living. For Mr. Rousculp these two roles are not separate, they are mutually equal and require inner balance to perform these responsibilities. Third, David has passion. Funeral service for David is not a job, it is a ministry which propels him to constantly improve, and innovate concerning better service, better meaning of the rituals, and improved community visibility for the funeral establishment that he is responsible for in management. Mr. Rousculp was a great student, and now he has taken his learners permit that was given to him over three decades ago, and has emerged as a human being which can be trusted, can be approached, and can be counted on to show up. David always shows up to help people who “walk through the valley of death.” David Rousculp is an outstanding guide on this one in a lifetime journey. Todd Van Beck
